A prominent Satmar faction of ultra-Orthodox Hasidic Jews in New York has officially endorsed former President Donald Trump for the upcoming presidential election. This endorsement comes despite Democratic assertions that Trump held a “Nazi” rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.
Israel’s Arutz Sheva reported on the endorsement, highlighting the sentiment that “[Kamala] Harris Is Bad for Jews.”
Grand Rabbi Aharon Teitelbaum's Satmar sect has declared its support for Trump after discussions among its leadership, driven by concerns that Vice President Kamala Harris could pose a risk to the “Jewish community” if elected.
The group's founder, Rabbi Joel Teitelbaum, was a Holocaust survivor, and another faction within the Satmar community is also expected to back Trump. Eric Trump has reportedly met with both factions, as noted by VINews.
