Foreign sources reveal a covert intelligence war playing out across Africa between Israel’s Mossad and the Hezbollah terror group.
This secret campaign, ongoing for years, involves intelligence gathering, surveillance, arrests, and influence operations in countries such as Gabon, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Nigeria, Morocco, and Kenya.
Mossad agents are reportedly working to locate Hezbollah’s financial networks, uncover weapons caches, and disrupt terror plots. A notable case occurred in 2017, when Mossad operatives abducted Abd al-Muhsin Jamal Hussein al-Shati, a member of the al-Abadi terror cell, in Libreville, Gabon. The results of his interrogation were shared with U.S. and Kuwaiti authorities.
According to reports, Hezbollah is deeply involved in criminal operations across Africa—raising funds, smuggling, laundering money, and trafficking drugs, often using diamond routes and links to South American cartels. An estimated 30%–40% of Hezbollah’s funding now comes from these global illegal networks.
In the past, Iran’s Quds Force, with Hezbollah’s help, attempted to transfer weapons to Hamas via convoys from Sudan’s ports through Egypt and the Sinai, then into Gaza via tunnels. These routes were exposed by Israeli intelligence, and Israeli airstrikes successfully destroyed several convoys, eventually forcing Iran to abandon this method.
Israel later established strong ties with the Sudanese government, effectively halting Iranian-Hezbollah activity in the region.
However, recently, Iran reportedly bribed Sudan’s impoverished regime, allowing them to restart arms convoys through Sudanese territory. Once again, Mossad has moved to counter and disrupt these renewed efforts.
This shadow war between Mossad and Hezbollah continues to this day.
