Hezbollah MP Ihab Hamadeh declared that the Iranian war had given the terrorist organization a “golden opportunity” to pursue what he described as unfinished religious vengeance.
Speaking on Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV, Hamadeh referred to the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and said Hezbollah and the Shiites would never abandon their demand for revenge.
Hamadeh claimed that Shiite rage had been “boiling” since the Battle of Karbala 1,400 years ago, warning that Hezbollah would fight its enemies both inside Lebanon and abroad—just as it fights Israel.
His remarks expose Hezbollah’s worldview: a terrorist organization driven not merely by Lebanese politics, but by an extremist, centuries-old religious ideology that threatens Israel, Lebanon and countries far beyond the region.
