A summary of what happened in the American attack tonight, in eastern Syria and western Iraq:
According to reports, it was the Jordanian Air Force jets gave the opening blow in Deir ez-Zor.
They were joined by 2 American bombers and another number of fighter jets, they attacked about 12 targets in the town of al-Qaim in Iraq, the district of Deir ez-Zor in Syria and the city of Al-Bukhamal in Syria.
The buildings that were attacked in Syria were almost empty except for guards who were left in place.
Most of the buildings were evacuated 5 days ago already following the American statements.
The main achievements were the attack on a warehouse of munitions and drones in al-Qaim and a truck that transported precision missiles from Iran towards Syria.
Iraq and Iran were informed ahead of time about the attack areas.
A total of 10 deaths were reported in all the attacks:
3 soldiers of the Syrian National Army, 6 people suspected of al-Shaabi and a civilian (his head was cut off by shrapnel). 18 injured have been rescued from the scenes so far.
ISIS took advantage of the attack (some say in coordination with the Americans) and attacked suspected Al-Sha'abi targets in the border area between the countries with rocket and foot fire.
Now we just have to wait and see: When will the next attack occur (if at all) and will it even be effective? What will be the reaction of the pro-Iranian militias, if any, and what will Iran's reaction be?
