During the past week, dozens of launches were detected that crossed the territory of the Gaza Strip towards the area of the city of Gan Yavne, the area of Lachish, and the surrounding settlements.
The air defense fighters successfully intercepted a number of launches and identified drops in the area.
The launches were carried out from the southern area of the Gaza Strip, near two aid and distribution warehouses that belong, among other things, to UNRWA and were used to distribute humanitarian aid to the civilian population in the Gaza Strip. Air Force fighter jets attacked precisely and destroyed the launch sites in the area from which the shooting was carried out.
At the end of the attack, secondary explosions were detected which indicated the presence of additional weapons in the area. The terrorist organization Hamas regularly violates international law, while systematically exploiting civilian buildings and the civilian population as human shields for terrorist actions against the State of Israel.
Alongside this, the IDF, through the Israel Defense Forces, will continue to work in cooperation with the international aid organizations in the Gaza Strip.
