Michigan Islamic scholar Ahmad Musa Jibril criticized in an August 3, 2025 video those who claim to care about the children in Gaza while simultaneously loving the United States, supporting the democratic process, and feeling proud of the country. 

He asked how anyone with a “sane mind” could reconcile this. Jibril said such concepts should be removed from the Islamic nation and added that the American flag belongs as a mat in the house. 

He continued that when the “buffoons” in the West, along with their Islamic scholars in the East, are “polishing” their tyrants, it is like a pimp presenting his prostitute as an honorable noble virgin.
