The prominent attorney warned New York’s mayor against attempting to interfere with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s expected UN General Assembly appearance.
Legal scholar Alan Dershowitz warned that New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani could face arrest if he attempted to obstruct Netanyahu’s arrival or address at the United Nations in September.
“If Mamdani does anything to interfere with Bibi Netanyahu’s arrival in New York and speech, he will be arrested,” Dershowitz told Newsmax.
The warning follows Mamdani’s repeated threats to seek Netanyahu’s arrest under the International Criminal Court warrant. Mamdani has since acknowledged that New York City lacks independent legal authority to enforce it.
