US envoy reportedly relays message that Israel is prepared for large, painful strikes in Dahieh and the Bekaa if Hezbollah refuses to hand over its precision missiles and drones.
According to Lebanese reporting cited by Israel Hayom, US envoy Morgan Ortagus conveyed a sharp warning: Israel is ready to carry out extensive and severe attacks against Hezbollah at the start of the new year unless the terrorist organization surrenders its precision-guided missiles and UAV arsenal.
The focus of any strike, according to the report, would be the heavily fortified Dahieh district in Beirut and Hezbollah’s strategic infrastructure in the Bekaa Valley.
Lebanese outlets noted rising concern in Beirut that Israel’s patience is running out as Hezbollah continues to smuggle and develop advanced weapons under direct Iranian oversight. Jerusalem has repeatedly emphasized that it will not tolerate a strategic threat on its northern border, especially as President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu have both made clear that Israel’s security is non-negotiable.
