Sheikh Mohammad Ali al-Husseini, a controversial Shiite cleric nicknamed “The Prophet” for a number of his so-called fulfilled predictions, sparked a major stir Saturday night with a bold post on platform X.
In it, he directly threatened senior Hezbollah figure Hajj Wafiq Safa, head of the group’s Liaison and Coordination Unit.
“The decision to kill you has been made,” al-Husseini warned in unprecedented language. “Gather your strength, fulfill your duties, and write your will—you are a dead man walking.”
Wafiq Safa, known for his silence in public forums, is a key security and political figure in Hezbollah and serves as a liaison to Lebanese government agencies. His low profile has made him a mysterious but powerful figure, and a target whose elimination would be closely watched.
