A story straight out of a thriller highlights the precision of Israeli intelligence: Omar Hassan Arabshi, a Hamas terrorist who stormed Nir Oz during the October 7 massacre, was eliminated yesterday in a targeted drone strike.
Arabshi, from Khan Younis, had stolen the phone of a kibbutz resident during the attack. He later sold it in Gaza; the buyer was killed in a drone strike in November 2023. Months later, his home was bombed by the Israeli Air Force — his wife and children were killed, and he was severely wounded.
Arabshi spent months recovering in the American Hospital in Gaza. Just hours after being discharged yesterday, he was located and killed by an Israeli drone strike along with his companion.
The IDF and Shin Bet maintain a vast database, built from kibbutz security cameras, of all individuals involved in the October 7 atrocities — from armed terrorists to civilians who crossed into Israel to loot or commit violence.
