There are those who are getting rich from the crisis created in the Gaza Strip and the desire of the residents to flee.
The director of a news agency in Gaza named Mustafa Ayash tells in an interview how it is possible to get out of it these days. According to him, those who want to should contact a "coordinator" who is actually a Palestinian smuggler who has direct or indirect contact with Egyptian intelligence.
The coordinator charges between 6,000 and 10,000 dollars for each Gazan, of which his commission is 5% and the rest goes to the Egyptian intelligence officers who are on the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing. In exchange for this sum, which is enormous in Gaza terms, the Egyptian officers put the name on the daily departure list. According to Ayash, even those who do not have a passport receive temporary Egyptian travel documents.
On the one hand, these things indicate the desire among Gazans to get out of it, only that it is an expensive business. On the other hand, this Egyptian conduct shows the danger of relying on those Egyptian officers who, just as they allow Gaza to leave, they must have received money to bring into the Strip in past years everything Hamas needed.
