Iranian reports claim dozens of soldiers may have been killed after heavy Tomahawk strikes hit the 388th Brigade’s facilities.
The US Navy reportedly launched a major overnight attack on bases belonging to the Iranian army’s 388th Brigade in Bampur, southeastern Iran.
According to reports carried by Iranian television, the facilities were struck by a heavy barrage of BGM-109 Tomahawk cruise missiles. The strikes reportedly hit military positions as well as soldiers’ living quarters, causing extensive casualties.
Unconfirmed reports claim that most of the soldiers stationed at the base were killed. No official casualty figure has yet been released, but preliminary estimates suggest that dozens may have died and many others were wounded.
