A storm erupted in the UK Labour Party following reports about Home Secretary Suella Braverman's plan to reduce illegal immigration.

Members on the left side of the party attacked the move, saying it suits a far-right party and not Labour, and that the attempt to prevent the electoral strengthening of Nigel Farage's Reform Party from the far right will cause the loss of progressive voters.

On the other hand, the British Telegraph quoted British lawmakers from the "Red Wall" area (a region traditionally associated with voting Labour), who expressed support for the move and said it should at least be brought up for discussion.
