Syrian reports: Israel attacked Iranian and Hezbollah targets in the Damascus area
The Syrian Ministry of Defense reported that at around 22:05 this evening, the Israeli enemy carried out air aggression from the direction of the Israeli-held Syrian Golan, targeting several military sites in the countryside of Damascus.
According to the military spokesman, the Syrian air defense systems were activated against the aggression missiles and shot down a number of them, and as a result of the attack, two soldiers were injured and property was damaged.
According to additional Syrian reports, the attack this evening was combined and carried out both from fighter jets and by firing surface-to-surface missiles from the Golan Heights.
According to the Syrian reports, the targets that were attacked were:
*- Damascus International Airport.
- Iranian targets in the Alsaida Zeinab area south of Damascus which is under full Iranian control.
- Attacking Hezbollah targets in the Aldimas area on the Damascus-Beirut road. Apparently a convoy was thwarted on its way from Syria to Lebanon.
Later Syrian reports indicate that the Israeli airstrikes this evening were aimed at the headquarters of the Iranian militias at the Al-Sharai airport near the town of Dimas in the countryside of Damascus. This small airport is used by both helicopters and Iranian and Hezbollah drones.
