A 39-year-old was shot today (Friday) in the city and seriously injured. The paramedic team that arrived at the scene provided him with medical treatment and evacuated him to Rambam Hospital in the city.

"The wounded man was lying on the road with a vague consciousness and suffering from bleeding injuries to his body," said MDA paramedic Idan Lavie.

Meanwhile, the police have opened an investigation into the incident, and are conducting searches for the perpetrators of the offense, along with collecting findings at the scene. The background and circumstances are still under investigation, but at the moment it appears that this is an assassination attempt.
