An officer of the security forces of the Syrian government was killed, as a result of gunfire from unidentified gunmen, in the rural area of Quneitra province in southern Syria.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the assassination took place while the security guard was on the main road on the outskirts of the village of Al-Ghabiliain the southern rural area of the province.
Last June 13, an unidentified gunman attacked a member of the government security forces on the road between the towns of Karkas and al-Qusaiba in the countryside of Quneitra, killing him on the spot.
It comes as a continuation of the chaos and insecurity in all areas controlled by Syrian government forces, especially in the southern provinces of the country.
Syrian media reports that the security man killed last night was Ahmad Fitzl al-Salah, known as Abu Katzi, who is one of the Syrian security forces from the town of Jaba.
