Amit Segel, Israel's #1 political analyst/journalist says that some sort of expanded government will be formed. He says that Gantz will not demand the expulsion of Ben-Gvir and Smotrich. Here is his report:
Chairman of the state camp and former defense minister Benny Gantz met today (Saturday) with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and received an update on the security situation. In the conversation, the possibility of establishing an emergency government was raised. After the meeting, Gantz convened the faction of the state camp.
Gantz told Netanyahu that the government will have full backing for any responsible and determined security action. In addition, Gantz positively considers the possibility of entering an emergency government for the duration of the war, which will focus exclusively on the security challenges, and in a way that will allow for partnership and a substantial influence on decision-making in the relevant forums.
NEWSRAEL: We have no details about what this government might look like - BUT - the important issue is: If our enemies thought that Israel is fragmented socially - they have been proven wrong. An emergency government will be be able to act much stronger.
