Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian left Tehran today, Wednesday, for a "pre-planned" visit to Qatar, according to official media reports.
Pezeshkian's visit to Doha comes a day after Tehran launched missiles at Israel.
Last night, Iran launched a missile attack on Israel, "in response" to the killing of the head of Hamas's political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, in Tehran, Hezbollah's secretary general, Hassan Nasrallah, and the senior commander of the IRGC's Quds Force, Abbas Nilforoshan, last week, in an Israeli attack in the southern suburbs (A-Dahiyah) of Beirut.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, for his part, threatened Tehran that it would "pay the price", considering that it made a "serious mistake" in bombarding his country with a barrage of ballistic missiles.
