It is very worthwhile to read the words of the commander of a Shia militia in Iraq loyal to Iran. He definitely knows what he's talking about.
The secretary general of the al-Nujaba militia in Iraq, Akram al-Kaabi, described the cessation of his organization's operations against American bases as "the calm before the storm."
Al-Kaabi said on Sunday that the current calm "is not just a temporary tactic for assessments and redeployment, but is the calm before the storm."
The secretary general of the al-Nujaba movement, an armed faction supported by Iran, also accused unnamed sources of providing information to the American forces "about the resistance and its location."
According to him, this requires "re-evaluations, protecting our brothers, changing the battle method and tactics and completing the preparations."
Al-Kaabi also vowed and said, "Surprises will come, and anyone with military experience understands what we are saying and what we are doing... We are eager to protect and distance the popular mobilization forces from the American danger."
The commanders of the Nujaba militia, Hezbollah and the Popular Mobilization Forces were subjected to attacks by US drones and warplanes, which led to the death of several of their fighters.
A source from the Iraqi armed factions revealed earlier this month that al-Kaabi rejected mediation by political and diplomatic leaders to stop his armed faction's attacks on American forces in Iraq and Syria, the Arab News Agency reported.
