Israel marked US Memorial Day with a message of solidarity, honoring the American soldiers who gave their lives in defense of freedom.
In a video posted by Israel’s Foreign Ministry, Israel said it stands with America and remembers the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while defending the values shared by both nations.
The message stressed that Israelis understand the heavy price paid by those who fight for freedom and survival. The video said that American troops have protected not only the United States, but also the free world “time and again.”
Israel’s ambassador to the US, Yechiel Leiter, also issued a Memorial Day message, saying that Israel knows “only too well” that freedom and prosperity cannot be taken for granted.
