In the last few months, the IDF Navy detected an accelerated trend of the Palestinian terrorist organizations trying to smuggle into the Gaza Strip by sea advanced equipment for the Hamas naval commando, as well as parts for the accuracy of the rocket fire. Two of the successful foilings in recent months were allowed to be published.

The smuggling attempts took place mainly in front of the mooring reef in Rafah.
