While the war between Russia and Ukraine continues and gets complicated, the State of Israel stops the immigration points in an emergency at the end of June.
In Moscow and St. Petersburg, 13 thousand families have been waiting for over 8 months to immigrate to Israel. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports that they do not feel an increase in requests to immigrate to Israel following the weekend events in Russia.
According to estimates, there are about half a million people entitled to the Law of Return and another 60,000 Israelis living in Russia.

The Israeli government needs to make a strategic decision to absorb as many Jews from Russia as possible here in Israel."
