A new terror organization calling itself “Awli al-Bas” (“The Possessors of Strength”) has appeared in southern Syria, presenting itself as an “Islamic resistance” movement.
According to the group’s spokesman, Abu Mujahid, the organization launched rockets toward newly established IDF bases in the Quneitra district of the Golan Heights.
One notable detail is the group’s use of the same style of music commonly associated with Hezbollah propaganda videos, raising questions about possible ideological or operational connections. The video also included an apparent attempt to write a message in Hebrew at the end, although the wording was unclear and difficult to understand.
The emergence of another armed Islamist faction in southern Syria could further complicate the already unstable security situation near Israel’s northern border, especially as Iranian-backed elements and Hezbollah-linked networks continue trying to establish influence in the area.
