WATCH: Israel Clearing Mine Fields
The Authority for the Clearing of Mines and Fallen Areas (RLPAM) in Israel’s Ministry of Defense is working to clear minefields throughout the country.

To that end, on Tuesday the Authority carried out a controlled explosion of about 550 anti-tank mines in the Golan Heights that were deployed near the border with Syria and Kibbutz Ein Zivan in the mid-1980s.
The area that was cleared of the mines is intended for agriculture and settlement development in the Golan.
