Today, Muslims around the world mark Orpah Day, the ninth day of the month of Dhu al-Hajah (the last month of the month in the Muslim year) which falls one day before the Feast of Sacrifice.

Day of Arafah, millions of pilgrims gather in Mecca, as part of the Hajj pilgrimage, around Mount Arafat and there they stay during the day. Muslims fast on this day in order to atone for their sins in the past year and in the year to come.
