Former Iranian official Mohammad-Hassan Aboutorabi Fard told worshippers in Tehran that Iran had defeated “Global Arrogance” led by the US and Israel, as the crowd erupted in chants of “Death to America” and “Death to Israel.”
In a June 19 Friday sermon aired live on Iran’s Channel 1, former Majles First Deputy Mohammad-Hassan Aboutorabi Fard praised the Iranian people for “standing firm” over the past year against the United States, its partners and the “Zionist regime.”
He declared that Iran’s power had been “forged” through confrontation with its enemies, while insisting that American leadership is “utterly untrustworthy.”
Throughout the sermon, the crowd repeatedly interrupted him with regime chants, including “Khamenei is the Leader,” “Death to America,” “Death to England,” “Death to the hypocrites and the infidels,” and “Death to Israel.”
