New footage circulating online shows members of Iran’s Basij militia attempting to hide under bridges while manning regime roadblocks, apparently trying to avoid drone strikes reported across the country.
The roadblocks had been set up by the Basij and the IRGC to suppress growing demonstrations against the Iranian regime.
According to Iranian opposition sources, multiple checkpoints were targeted by drones overnight, with claims that at least 20 roadblocks were attacked. The checkpoints were reportedly established to stop and control anti-regime protests, but many Basij forces were killed or wounded in earlier strikes, while others reportedly abandoned their posts out of fear of being targeted.
