Britain’s local and regional elections delivered a major political shock this week, with Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party making massive gains across England and Wales.
Prime Minister Keir Starmer and his Leftist Labour Party suffered heavy losses, with Labour reportedly losing more than half of the seats it defended. Many political analysts in Britain are already calling the results a “political revolution.”
The elections come just days before a planned mass anti-government demonstration in London on May 16 which is expected to be one of Britian's largest in history.
Farage’s Reform UK gained nearly 1,300 local council seats and took control of several municipalities that were once considered strong Labour territory. Working-class voters in northern and central England — areas that traditionally supported Labour for decades — shifted heavily toward Reform.
