Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman criticized Wednesday the intention of the Health Ministry to tighten coronavirus restrictions, stating that such a decision would harm the economy.
“We need to let things brew to understand if the restrictions work. There’s no need for the Green Pass [separation of vaccinated and unvaccinated] in the open air, and there’s no use for the Green Pass for children in swimming pools,” Lieberman stressed.
“When you look at the morbidity situation the data is stabilizing and there’s cause for optimism,” he added. “The infectious reproduction number is falling and there’s a stabilization of patients in serious condition, contrary to all predictions. Therefore we must stop talking about new restrictions and let the market work.”
