Used car prices in the Palestinian market are soaring - this is why!

The prices of used cars imported into the Palestinian market have risen by 15% - 20% since the beginning of the current year. Jalal Rabia, chairman of the Association of Imported Used Car Companies, explained that the increase is related to rising prices in European and Asian markets.

Rabia also noted that before the current crisis, consumers in Europe used to change cars frequently, often after a year, but now they own the same car for a longer period of time. He gave an example of how the price of a used Hyundai Accent (did not specify a year of manufacture) increased from $9,000 to $14,000. Most of the burden of price increases, according to Rabia, falls on the consumer and not on the owner of the car lots.
