At great personal risk, an unknown person committed an act of courage and defiance by secretly filming the inside of one of the most notorious prisons in Iran to get a message out to the world.
Qezel Hesar is the site of executions and torture, and inmates are held there under inhuman conditions without access to basic life needs like toilets, food and medical care. Currently, around 1,500 inmates face execution for petty crimes resulting from the sheer overwhelming force of the poverty imposed on them by the Iranian regime, which spends billions on developing its military and nuclear capabilities and funding its terror proxies across the Middle East while impoverishing its own people. Many of them are currently on a hunger strike to protest these injustices, saying they have no other recourse.
The person speaking in the video reminds the listeners of the thousands of people imprisoned by Iran and the large numbers of those facing execution.
