The Nature and Parks Authority reported that approximately 60,000 hikers went out to enjoy the sunny Shabbat and the spectacular winter blooms and visited nature reserves and national parks throughout the country.
Among the prominent sites: the Hermon-Banias Stream Nature Reserve, the Caesarea, Tel Afek, Beit Guvrin National Parks, Eshkol Park, and Tel Ashkelon.
With the wildflowers there is color for tomorrow.
From Genji Moskowitz, head of the Public Relations Department at the Nature and Parks Authority:
"Today, at the beginning of March, Nature Conservation Month begins, and this time with the theme of preserving wildflowers in particular and nature in general. We organized a variety of activities, tours, and volunteering in honor of the month, and to our delight, the public is joining in - because only with it will it be possible to preserve these natural treasures, which adorn our country's landscape and bring joy to the human heart."
