The Syrian Network for Human Rights published its report on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the revolution in Syria.
The report claimed to have documented the killing of 231,278 civilians, including 15,334 due to torture, the arbitrary arrest/enforced disappearance of 156,757 people, and the displacement of nearly 14 million Syrians.
They explained that the Syrian people, who came out demanding a democratic political transition for 13 years, were left alone in the face of the strongest dictatorial regimes.
The report states that the Syrian people set out 13 years ago with incredible courage, with which they sought to transform the Syrian nation from a nation ruled by one family with an iron hand and fire, to a democracy based on free elections, and demanded the restoration of their dignity stolen by the brutal security services.
Demonstrations Popular movements swept various districts in Syria, thus demonstrating a collective aspiration for peaceful change towards the return of state rule from the grip of security and individual rule.
The report talked about huge losses at the level of individuals and the Syrian state in dealing with the dictatorial family and in the quest to join the ranks of free and democratic countries.
The report indicated that all areas in Syria witnessed a significant and gradual change in the distribution of areas of control, according to military developments, and that the various parties to the conflict and the ruling forces committed horrific violations in order to expand their military control.
