In a harrowing incident that has sent shockwaves through both the Jewish and broader communities, three men have been sentenced for the kidnapping and assault of Israeli music producer Itay Kashti in West Wales.
The perpetrators—Faiz Shah, 23, from Leeds; Mohammad Comrie, 23, from Bradford; and Elijah Ogunnubi-Sime, 20, from Wallington—were each sentenced to eight years and one month in prison by Swansea Crown Court.
ELABORATE DECEPTION LEADING TO KIDNAPPING
The meticulously planned abduction unfolded in August 2024 when the trio posed as representatives of a reputable music production company. They lured Kashti from his London residence to a secluded cottage in the Brynteg area of Llanybydder, West Wales, under the guise of attending a music workshop.
