US House of Representatives Majority Leader Steve Scalise (Republican from Louisiana) Monday evening called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and expressed support for any decision that Israel makes in light of the Iranian attack.
Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked Majority Leader Scalise for his “warm support,” and made it clear that Israel would do “everything necessary to defend itself.”
Majority Leader Scalise informed the Prime Minister of his initiative to advance in Congress, in the coming days, a series of measures against Iran and for Israel; Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked him.
The call came amid growing speculation as to what, if any, military action Israel will take against Iran.
US President Joe Biden has told the Israeli government that he opposes a military strike on Iran.
