WATCH: How the media reported on Iranian protests
For two weeks, hundreds of thousands of Iranians have protested the Islamic Republic, reporting live fire, mass arrests, internet blackouts, and killings in the streets. Yet much of the media questions these accounts.
Internet shutdowns and regime denials are cited as obstacles, but they didn’t slow rapid, definitive coverage when Israel was accused.
Hamas-run statements were published within minutes, often without hesitation.
So ask the question: why is skepticism automatic when a regime kills its own people, but optional when Israel is accused?
