The Lebanese-Sunni journalist and political commentator Dr. Saleh Al-Mashnouk says that Lebanon has paid for 60 years the highest price that any Arab nation has paid, for the Palestinian issue and other regional issues that do not concern it. 

While most Arab countries have normalized their relations with Israel, or are in the process of doing so - Lebanon also wants to do this, to end decades of bloody conflict that contributes nothing to Lebanon. Today, the Lebanese are not ashamed to say this openly and believe that no one can lecture them about it.
