During his visit, the Deputy Chief of Staff held a strategic dialogue with senior officials of the US Army and the Pentagon about the war plans in the South and the North.
The Deputy Chief of Staff, Major General Amir Baram, this week paid a professional visit to his colleagues from the US Army and met with senior commanders in Centcom (Central Command), NorthCom (Northern Command), the Navy, the Defense Ministry and the Ministry of Defense in order to strengthen the fruitful cooperation between the armies and how to prepare for emerging challenges.
During his visit, the Deputy Chief of Staff held a strategic dialogue with senior officials of the US Army and the Pentagon about the war plans in the South and the North, the preparations against Iran and its affiliates, and the common interests of the IDF and the US Army in the Middle East.
At the same time, the Deputy Chief of Staff discussed with his counterparts how to speed up the pace of supplying the required armaments to the IDF and the joint mechanisms for acceleration and control were agreed upon.
As part of his visit, the Deputy Chief of Staff awarded the Chief of Staff's badge to the former Deputy Commander of the American Central Command (now the Commander of the American Northern Command) General Gregory M. Geo (****), in recognition of his great contribution to the security of the State of Israel during the "Iron Swords" war.
The Deputy Chief of Staff also awarded a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the IDF to the American destroyer "USS Carney", which completed a 7-month voyage in the Middle East during which it intercepted dozens of drones and missiles fired from the land of Iran and its tributaries in the direction of the State of Israel, thus contributing greatly to the overall defense effort.
