The Chief of Staff, Lt. Col. Eyal Zamir, conducted a field tour in southern Lebanon today (Wednesday), with the commander of Division 91, Brigadier General Yuval Gaz, the commander of Brigade 769, Colonel Y., and other commanders.
The Chief of Staff spoke with the commanders and regular and reserve fighters in the sector and noted to them that the mission they are carrying out is significant and important. He added that thanks to their actions, the operational achievement was maintained, which allows us to continue to ensure the security of the residents of the north.
"The reason we are here today is because we have changed the security reality in the northern sector. The achievements are unprecedented - since the ceasefire, more than 240 terrorists have been eliminated and about 600 air strikes," began the Chief of Staff, Lt. Col. Eyal Zamir, "Today we are preserving our achievements to protect the northern communities - it is thanks to you."
"We are in the midst of a significant period. The main task of all of us is to maintain the security of the state, the security of citizens, and the protection of the northern communities."
"This morning we approved plans to occupy Gaza and now we are in Lebanon. At the same time, we are operating in Syria, Yemen, Judea and Samaria and monitoring what is happening in Iran," the Chief of Staff continued. "We are in a multi-threat war, adapting perceptions to threats. We are in all arenas - launching attacks, all on our own initiative."
