NEWSRAEL: Now they say the hatred comes from Israel's actions in Gaza - and before the war? They always make up reasons for the inexplicable hatred.
British journalist Roshan Salih, editor of the 5Pillars media platform, and journalist Robert Carter, hosts of the Muslims Uncensored podcast, discussed the October 2, 2025 deadly attack on a synagogue in Manchester, in which two British citizens were murdered by Syrian asylum seeker Jihad Al-Shami.
Salih said that the only way to prevent such “extreme acts of violence,” which he noted some would call “terrorism,” is to end Israel’s “genocide and massacring of Palestinians.” Carter concurred, saying that the “elephant in the room” is the “genocide” in Gaza.
Carter stated that conflating Jews with Zionism and Israel is antisemitic, but he claimed that the synagogue attacked in Manchester was known for pro-Israel activism and protests, saying that “they’ve picked a side in this war” and that it was an organization engaged in political activism, and “possibly this is why it has been targeted.”
