At the end of an undercover investigation, the Fraud and Online Crime Unit of Israel’s Central District Police arrested seven residents of the Center and the South of the country.
The Fraud and Online Crime Unit of Israel’s Central District Police arrested today, at the end of an undercover investigation, arrested seven residents of the Center and the South of the country on suspicion of involvement in a case of extortion by threats and fraud under aggravating circumstances of an 80-year-old person in the amount of 15 million Shekels ($4.15 million).
According to the suspicion, the fraud began in 2018 when one of the suspects, a man with whom the complainant used to do business in the past, introduced his son to the victim and asked him to give his son a loan to purchase engineering tools, while promising to return his money plus profits from alleged real estate transactions he presented to him.
