In the US, suspicions arise: Billionaire close to the Chinese regime is funding the recent far-left protests
The issue of the Chinese Communist Party's support for far-left protests in the US has once again come to light this week in view of the demonstrations against the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minnesota as well as the rallies supporting Nicolas Maduro, the ousted leader of Venezuela, held in New York City.
US Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna summoned Neville Roy Singham, a pro-Chinese billionaire suspected as the main financier of the protests, to testify.
Luna also described Singham as "the financial arm of the Chinese Communist Party" and emphasized that if Singham does not comply with the subpoena, lawmakers will initiate contempt of Congress proceedings against him.
