Dr. Mordechai Kedar says Tehran is attacking US bases and Gulf states while deliberately avoiding Israel.
The ceasefire between the United States and Iran has effectively collapsed, with American forces again striking Iranian targets after Tehran violated its commitments and threatened shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran has responded by targeting American installations in Bahrain, Qatar and other regional countries. According to Dr. Mordechai Kedar, some strategically important facilities and a runway used by US intelligence aircraft were damaged, demonstrating that Iran retains the ability to identify and strike precise American targets.
Yet Iran has so far avoided directly attacking Israel. Kedar believes this is deliberate: Tehran fears Israel’s response more than it fears retaliation from any other country, including the United States.
