Channel 14 reports that an Iranian outlet associated with the IRGC’s intelligence apparatus has acknowledged that reports of a serious rift between President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were allegedly part of a coordinated deception operation.
An Iranian news outlet associated with the intelligence bodies of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has reportedly admitted that Tehran was deceived by what it described as a coordinated psychological and media operation conducted by Israel and the US.
According to the Channel 14 report, Raja News claimed that widespread reports of a serious dispute between President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were deliberately circulated to convince Iran that an Israeli military response had been canceled or postponed.
The reports included claims that Trump was demanding Israeli restraint, that the decision rested solely with the US president and that Israel was considering not responding to Iran’s attacks. According to the Iranian account, these messages lowered the alert level of Iranian forces and created the conditions for Israel’s surprise airstrikes.
