A story of renewal emerged in northern Israel, where two families touched by grief announced their engagement.

Hadas Loewenstern, widow of Rabbi Elisha Loewenstern, who was killed during a rescue mission in Gaza on December 13, 2023, has become engaged to Hod Reichert, whose wife, Hagit, died last year following complications during childbirth.

Both are residents of the northern city of Harish, which has carried its own burdens during the Iron Swords War.
