Ahmed Khawitter, senior technical director at Saudi energy giant Aramco, today referred to world leaders' statements about their desire to reach zero emissions.

According to him, the only option to fulfill this goal is to switch to the use of hydrogen fuel. During a conference in Riyadh, Khiwitter stated that since 2018, global demand for this non-polluting fuel has doubled. He estimated that in the coming decades the demand for hydrogen fuel will increase when in 2050 it will reach an equivalent amount of close to 40 million barrels per day.
