The "Syria Response Coordination Team" emphasized the importance of holding Russia and Iran accountable for the crimes and violations committed against the Syrian people during the years of conflict in a recent press statement.
The team called on both countries to provide financial compensation to the Syrian people, including the reconstruction of damaged infrastructure, support for displaced individuals and refugees, and compensation for families who lost loved ones due to these violations.
The statement noted that Russian and Iranian intervention in Syria has resulted in the deaths and injuries of thousands of civilians, the displacement of millions both within Syria and abroad, as well as widespread destruction of essential facilities such as hospitals and schools.
