U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham unveiled the “Trump Economic Zone” plan during his visit to Beirut, outlining an initiative aimed at strengthening the religious and social resilience of southern Lebanon.
Graham stressed that the project is designed to encourage regional investment while preserving pluralism, noting that “Christianity is under siege in the Middle East.”
According to Graham, the broader struggle is not just political but deeply religious, and he argued that the West must recognize it as such.
He further remarked that when it comes to Gaza, Washington should consider a strategy similar to what the United States carried out against Japan during World War II—overwhelming force to secure a decisive outcome.
