First publication: the conditions of the Gulf countries to financially aid Gaza the day after the victory over Hamas - significant changes in the Palestinian Authority
In recent times, international officials, including the Americans, turned to the countries in the Gulf and asked them to provide financial assistance for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip the day after the victory over Hamas.
The answer of those countries was: "They are ready to help significantly, and to transfer funds, even to help Judea and Samaria and the Palestinian Authority, but we have conditions"
The conditions of those countries were that Israel would agree to a certain kind of road map, to a sort of political plan regarding the Palestinian issue.
But there was also another condition, even more interesting: those countries demanded significant changes that the Palestinian Authority would have to make, including changes in leadership.
This demand corresponds with what President Biden said a few days ago about the need for a "renewed Palestinian Authority", the understanding that the Authority will also have to make changes.
In the past, the Gulf countries invested a lot in the reconstruction of Gaza after Israeli operations, then another operation came - and the money went down the drain. And it seems that this time they want to make sure that their investment does not go down the drain again.
