Lebanese foreign minister urges Hezbollah’s leadership to accept US demands the terror group disarm, adding that Israel is entitled to continue to strike Hezbollah positions in Lebanon so long as it refuses to surrender its arsenal
Lebanon this week publicly acknowledged for the first time ever that Israel is entitled under the terms of the November 2024 ceasefire agreement to carry out military strikes against the Hezbollah terror organization.
The admission was made by Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji, a member of the predominantly Maronite Christian Lebanese Forces party during an interview with Sky News Arabia on Monday.
During the interview, Rajji vowed that Beirut is committed to upholding its obligations under the 2024 ceasefire deal, including the full disarmament of all armed groups other than the Lebanese military – including Hezbollah and other pro-Iranian organizations.
